Payment Options
The City of McCausland bills for sewer and garbage services. We bill in arrears, which means we bill you for the previous month. For example, the bill you receive in February is for January services. Bills are sent out on the 1st and due by the 20th of each month. You are welcome to pay ahead if you so choose. We offer a variety of convenient payment options for our residents. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.
Online Bill Payment
If paying your utility bill online just click on the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button and follow the prompts. Avoid late fees and always make the payment by the 20th of the month. If you use this option it is not necessary to split out your garbage and sewer payment on the form. You can put it all in one slot to make it easier for you.
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five to seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
Payment Drop-off Location
You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash (no change is given), check, or money orders. The drop slot is inside the atrium of the City Hall (old bank building). It is open 24 hours a day.
Payment Through Your Bank's Online Bill Pay
Most all financial institutions offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please select your bill date to be no later than the 10th of the month so that it arrives on time by the 20th.
