Park Board

The Park Board is currently inactive due to a lack of membership.  The City Council would like to reinvigorate this committee.  If you would like to participate, please contact the City Clerk, the Mayor or one of the Council members.

The Park Board is responsible for the children's parties (Easter, Halloween, Christmas).  They assist with the annual Labor Day celebration.  They help manage the parks by being aware of issues, problems, things that need to be updated or maintained and in general any ideas or plans for using our park facilities more effectively and to include the community as much as possible.  They help manage the budget for the Parks Department.  Currently these duties are split up among the council members.

Our parks include City Park with a playground, basketball court, baseball field and concession stand; Lois Muhs Pavilion, Prairie Meadows Disc Golf Course, Pocket Park next between City Hall and the Post Office.  It also includes the plantings around public buildings and at the entrance signs.
